Did you know that muscle burns more calories than fat.
 
One pound of muscle burns on average 15 calories per day.  A pound of fat only burns about 2 calories per day.
 
So by adding an extra 5 pounds of muscle to your body you will increase your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) by 75 calories a day. 
 
That will result in losing one more pound of fat every 6 weeks, just by adding more muscle.
