Did You Know?

Getting in Shape for Summer!

We can already feel the heat waves coming in, signaling that summer, the time of year associated with bikinis and short-sleeved shirts, is just around the corner. While the thoughts of the summer season and the desire to get into shape may entice you to try "crash diets," these diets offer only temporary weight loss that will most likely creep back on at a later point in time. This is, of course, without mention of the fact that crash diets are usually nutritionally inadequate.

The good news is that time is on our side -- 8 weeks, to be precise. So before summer arrives, why not take this opportunity to change your lifestyle habits to achieve a weight loss that will last? We'll be here to help you every step of the way.

Take a look below at your guide to a SLIM summer body:

Start small -- small changes lead to big successes.  Don't try and lose the weight it took 10 years to gain in 8 weeks.

Learn to identify your weak moments.  Treat your diet and nutrition just like your appointment book.  Know where and when you are going to be when its time to eat, that way you can be prepared.

Increase your activity level.  Burning 100 calories more per day will equate to losing a pound a month.

Make it a habit to log your food intake.  Log your food like you log your check book.  If you spend more money than is in your account you get overdrawn.  If you continue to take in more calories than you put out you will continue to gain weight.

Write down your goals and be committed to them, this will help you stick to your plan.
Have a Healthy Day,
