Attention all 20-30 Somethings

Enjoy your youth! Eating and drinking everything you want without gaining a pound will not last forever. The closer you get to the age of 30 the slower your body processes things. Think freshman 15 but instead it’s 30 for your 30’s. Have you noticed that it’s a lot harder to rally after a night of drinking than it was in college? That’s just the start. Ask anyone past the age of 30 how his or her body has changed (probably safer to take my word for it…). Develop good habits early, at the very least try. Eat one thing that grows in the ground a day, cut out fast food, get off your phone, get active through sports and recreation, and get to the gym. Find activity you enjoy and learn to take care of your body. I promise sitting 40+ hours a week at work for the next 30 years will do irreparable damage to your body.

“Man.

Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.

Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.

And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;

the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;

he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

-The Dalai Lama
