    Have a New Years Resolution?

There are a lot of companies that pray on your New Years Resolutions to get healthy. They don't care if you actually reach your goals, they want to get in your wallet. Here are a few things that you should avoid, and then some things that will help!

    Beware of False Promises!

Anything that sounds too good to be true, probably is!

    Juice cleanses and Detox Teas

Leave this job up to your liver and kidneys.

    10 minute abs

There’s no substitute for hard work. I’m all for quick workouts, but you will never get results without putting in the work. Want to get stronger, feel better, and like the way you look? Lift weights, do cardio and eat healthy. For more then 10 minute a day.

    Miracle diets

Anything that comes in a bag or wrapper probably isn’t good for you. Focus on eating vegetables, lean meats, protein, and good fats. No one diet will work for everyone. You need to play with your food and find what works best for you!

    Things that will help!

Eat more vegetables. Try eating a salad with a variety of colors everyday.

Move more! You don’t need to go hard at the gym everyday, but you should develop a movement practice you can work on everyday. Some light stretches and core work a couple minutes a day can drastically reduce aches and pains in the body. Get your body as mobile as possible.

Drink more water. Water should be the first thing you put in your body in the morning.

Find an activity you enjoy, with people you like. If you don't like what you are doing you are less likely to stick to it.

If you have questions on how to meet your goals this new year stop by the gym or message us!
